We call for Papers on the topic of sonic experiences in the era of the Internet of Sounds.
Submitted papers should provide a scientific contribution by reporting original research methods and results (original research paper), summarizing the current state-of-the-art on a topic (review paper), presenting an opinion about specific issues (position paper), or presenting practical situations in real-world contexts that can contribute to existing knowledge of the field (case study paper).
There will be a special issue of the Journal of Personal and Ubiquitous Computing relating to the conference. Authors are invited to significantly extend their accepted contributions (at least 30% of new material) to an article of the special issue on "Sonic Experiences: Interaction, Connectivity, and Multi-Sensory Technologies" (details can be found here).

Length and Formatting
We let authors choose the most appropriate length for their contribution amongst two formats:
- Short papers (4 pages, typically Poster or Demo presentation) should present a work-in-progress.
- Long papers (5-8 pages, typically oral presentation) should present a substantial contribution to the field.
Page limits include all figures, tables, appendices, and references.
The length of the abstract should be 150-200 words.
Peer review
All submissions will be fully peer-reviewed. The review process is double blind. Please submit completely anonymized drafts. Please do not include any identifying information, and refrain from citing authors' own prior work in anything other than third-person.
Template
All papers must be created with the ACM Master Article Template with the "sigconf" layout, available for both Word and LaTeX.
Alternatively, you can use the template for the Overleaf online LaTeX editor.
All papers must be submitted in the PDF format.
Supplementary materials
We encourage authors to attach additional supplementary materials such as audio/video examples, data sets, or measurements. For review, you can include anonymized links to cloud services or equal. For the camera ready version, any such temporary links must be replaced by persistent links with handle/DOI or equal. Alternatively, you can upload supplementary material with your submission. For accepted contributions, the supplementary material will then be hosted together with the paper.
Attendance
Please note that at least one of the paper authors has to register and attend the conference in order for the paper to be accepted, presented, and included in the proceedings. Registration may be physical or virtual (see registration information).
Presentation format
Upon paper submission, authors will have the possibility to give their preferences for oral, poster, or (/additional) demo presentations, as well as for physical or virtual presentation. The final mode of presentation will be based on the review process and program constraints, and will be communicated to the authors upon acceptance.
You have the possibility to hand in a paper with an accompanying demo that is presented in addition to a talk or poster. In this case, you have to submit the required supplementary data as described in the call for demos.
